It's that time again..WPPI!! We get SO excited every year when WPPI is around the corner--the buzz, the excitement...it's just SO much fun!
One thing that makes it even MORE fun is building our Fabulous Flock of Volunteers to help out at our tradeshow booth! Since this year our booth is bigger than ever, we need YOU to help out!
Here's what we need:
Sunday, Feb. 19: from 10:00am-2:00pm: 6 people to assist with booth set up
Monday, Feb. 20: 2 Bag Assemblers from 9:45am-1:00pm
2 Bag Assemblers from 12:45pm-4:00pm
2 Tote Bag Distributors from 9:45am-11:00am
2 Tote Bag Distributors from 12:45pm-2:00pm
Tuesday, Feb. 21: 2 Bag Assemblers from 9:45am-1:00pm
2 Bag Assemblers from 12:45pm-4:00pm
2 Tote Bag Distributors from 9:45am-11:00am
2 Tote Bag Distributors from 12:45pm-2:00pm
Wednesday, Feb. 22: 2 Bag Assemblers from 9:45am-1:00pm
2 Bag Assemblers from 12:45pm-4:00pm
2 Tote Bag Distributors from 9:45am-11:00am
2 Tote Bag Distributors from 12:45pm-2:00pm
Wednesday, Feb. 23: Break Down Booth (4:30pm-?): 4-6 Volunteers
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Lots! Depending on how many shifts you take you will earn:
-Two Covers
-A Shootsac
-A RED Tote and Shoot
So if you want to volunteer, please do the following RIGHT AWAY (the slots fill up fast):
1. Send an email to matt@shootsac.com 2. Tell us the date and time you are available to help, and if you have a job preference (we may not be able to honor specific positions but we try)
3. Include your full name, phone number, address, and website

Happy New Year!! One thing I really love about the New Year is the freshness of everything, like ANYTHING is possible! It's a time to reflect on the past year and see on a bigger scale what was accomplished. Now that the holidays are over, it's the time to focus on what I'd like to accomplish this year and actually MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!!
One thing that Shootsac made happen this past year is finally launching our TOTE AND SHOOT after several years of development. As a company that strives to make products that care as much about function as style, it takes time! But our time is now!
The next step is letting even MORE people know who we are, what we're about, and how we can help them become a better photographer, a more effective traveler, and add style while they're doing it. Which is what leads me to

TOTE AND SHOOT: SHOOT YOUR LIFE!

I've always been the adventurous type. Like Keats, I have a passion for traveling, seeking out new, off the beaten path places, and traveling the road less traveled. But my life is different now than it used to be--let's just say I've got a little more baggage now that I have a BABY (both literally and figuratively)! Basically, my adventures begin at 5:45am and sometimes only take me around my cul-de-sac!
So my dilemma is, what to do with my extra baggage (the literal kind)? Now that I have so many more things to carry, the temptation was there to ditch anything that isn't absolutely 100% necessary...like my professional camera gear. I mean, I don't really need that for family dinners, trips to the playground, and short family outings, right?
The other day, my mother emailed me and asked if I'd bring my camera home for Thanksgiving so I could photograph my brother. Now that I have my Tote and Shoot, instead of my answer being, "I'll think about it", I was able to tell her I wouldn't miss it! Having an EASY way to carry my gear where it won't get in the way of emergency diapers certainly made my decision easier :)
Lucky for me, I'll be able to have the beautiful photos of my family this year that I've been providing other families with for my whole career. As they would say, IT'S ABOUT TIME!!

As you have probably guessed, the Tote and Shoot isn't just your ordinary bag--it's a bag that's absolutely CHOCK FULL of hidden super powers! Although it can't leap tall buildings in a single bound, it certainly has a remarkable ability to get around the globe!
Shootsac co-founder and Tote and Shoot innovator Keats did quite a bit of globetrotting this year, heading from Egypt to Ireland and Mexico and more! She certainly wasn't going to leave her fancy camera at home during her adventures, and the Tote and Shoot was the perfect way to get her and her gear from place to place!
