You hot sweltering month, you! Well, at least you make pretty babies :) Oh August, I have a love/hate relationship with you. You're still summer yet you mean summer is ending. You're a busy month, something new around every corner, but no major holidays--what's up with that!

For the past year, we've been putting out a newsletter EVERY SINGLE MONTH! These newsletters are strictly for YOU! Each one contains a shooting tip, technique, or description, a snippet of what we're up to here at Shootsac, a cool product or toy that might be interesting to you, and my favorite part, a feature on a FABULOUS photographer! The photographer features are the best because people are just so open about what they're up to, what's worked, what hasn't, and are totally inspirational to me!

This is just a reminder: Your birthday is coming up!
You might say, "No it's not, my birthday just passed" and you would be right. But you would also be wrong because everyone knows that the older we get, the faster those birthdays come right around again!
One of the things we do here at ShootsacŪ is to celebrate your birthday both with you and for you (hey, we love having 365 birthdays)! We want to know when yours is, so you can shop with us and get a free gift when it's your special month.

If you're on our MAILING LIST, you already know our big news--we have launched 4 NEW REVERSIBLE COVERS, with a fab summer pattern on one side, and a sweet simple suede on the opposite side. And for the first time, you can choose which side you wear!!
On Jessica's blog yesterday, we asked you to name your favorite, and our lucky winner of a cover of their choice is...

I thought it would be fun to post a few more photos here, along with a little explanation of how the covers work!
First of all, if you didn't know, a Shootsac is a great bag for beach shooting! You can take the lenses what you need, cause we all know there's no easy way to roll a big bag on the beach!
Second, the new reversible covers are so much fun! I love the ability to get to choose which cover I want to rock on any given day--and these patterns make me OH SO HAPPY!
It is SO EASY to reverse the covers! The velcro on and off just like your regular covers, but they have a tab on the top you can fold down to choose which side you want to show! Seriously, it doesn't get any easier than that. And how could it get more adorable?

We're starting something NEW and AWESOME, and you will now know it by it's official name: FREE SHIPPING FRIDAY!!!
What is it? Well, you've probably figured out that it has something to do with Free. and Shipping. And Friday. But here's the details:
-ONE random Friday per month, ALL SHIPPING ON ALL US ORDERS will be completely FREE!
-You can only find out which Friday it is by following us on our Twitter or being our Facebook Friend (click the links below). This is ALSO the only way to get that day's code that you'll need to use at checkout
-Any order placed between 6:00AM and Midnight PST on that day will be shipped completely for free!

BIG BIG NEWS!! This month, we will be launching four new, never before seen COVERS for you! The best part? They have one very special extra feature also...I'm not going to say what it is just yet, but I will say this: You'll be getting more bang for your buck!! Look for them coming right around July 22 :)
Today's feature comes to us from the SKP Girls! That stands for the girls of Sara Knauss Photography. It looks like the girls had their hands full with not one but FOUR couples for this shoot!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULY!

IT'S FINALLY JULY!!! July is the best month to have a birthday. This is for one main reason: This is MY (Jessica's) Birthday Month!! I believe strongly in celebrating a birthday month, and it's become somewhat of a tradition. When I married Jeff, I explained this to him, but he wasn't quite buying it. He told me, "I don't believe in celebrating a birthday MONTH". Can you believe that?! I told him that he needed to respect my beliefs, no matter what his may be :)
So here we are, in July. And so many of you there are! Check ya'll out:
And I want to give a SPECIAL shout out to two groups of people
1. Those of you born on my birthday, July 22: Allison, Charissa, Christine, Dorothy, Elizaveth, Jessica, Jon, Kam, Kimberly, Meri, Paula, Sandra, Sara, Sherial, and Teri
2. Those of you named Jessica, especially Jessica Cernat, who has the same name AND b-day as me!
No matter what day you were born, you're just a *little* bit smarter than everyone else if you see your name above, because you had the good sense to get on our **BIRTHDAY LIST**! If you're not on it, no free gift for you. Don't be like that!

CALLING ALL BIRTHDAYS!

Do you have a birthday? I'm guessing you probably do :) Most everyone I know has a birthday, and even if you don't have a birthday, it doesn't really matter because you can just put one in to our birthday form anyway :)
Our **BIRTHDAY LIST** is one of my favorite things that shootsac does. Every single month, we send out an email late on the first day of that month to all the people who are on our list having a birthday in that particular month. The blast has a little birthday goodie for all of those peeps.
Who would turn down a free birthday gift? That would just be crazy! Get on the list!
