Whew, what a blast it was to be in New York for Photoplus this week! Between our FAB style shoot with Becker and the buzz of the tradeshow floor, it's safe to say that we LOVE NYC!
Thanks to everyone who played our Twitter games! There is still one game going on for those of you who are at home: All you have to do is tweet your FAVE NYC inspired photo that you've shot (phone photos are fine, it doesn't even have to BE a shot in NYC, just inspired by it), and tag @shootsac and @adorama in it--we'll pick our fave on MONDAY MORNING and give that person a FREE SHOOTSAC!!!!
Speaking of which, I have some hot news for you: Since we know that not everyone was able to make it to the Big Apple this week, ADORAMA has generously extended the tradeshow specials they were running for you until Monday!! Just click the photos below to see the products, it's a perfect time to pick one up!
Hipslip w/ Baroque Cover
SHOOTSAC under $150??!!!
A WHOLLE KIT for less than the bag alone normally costs!
So go buy, tweet photos of NYC, and we'll see you at WPPI!

PHOTOPLUS DAY 1 AND A NEW CONTEST FOR THE HOME VIEWERS OUT THERE!
We are officially in NYC and just finished up our first day at PHOTOPLUS expo!
As we mentioned below, we decided to hitch a ride on Adorama Camera's booth this year, since we have such a blast with the guys that run the place! We had a ton of fun on Facebook ... Twitter, and we wanted to share a little bit of what's been going on for those of you who haven't been able to make it out to NYC for Photoplus!
Here's what the Adorama sign looks like, if you are looking for us! It is booth #723:
This is what our little corner of their world looks like:
All day on Twitter, we had people running to the booth to rattle off cover names or take photos with us! Andrew Oakden was one of our lucky cover winners--he was the first to the booth to snag a photo between Joel of Adorama ... Keats!
Our great friend Jasmine rocked out her platform presentation as always! Armed with Shootsac boxes, she certainly had lots of reasons to have a gaggle of photographers hanging with her :)
Tomorrow we will be at it again from 10am-5pm, so make sure you follow us on twitter and get our messages straight to your phone if you're in NYC and want to win free swag!
If you're NOT in NYC right now--we have a game for you!!!
Tweet your FAVORITE NYC-inspired photo @shootsac and @adorama--at the end of the day we will pick our fave and give that person a FREE SHOOTSAC LENS BAG!!! It doesn't have to be a photo actually shot in NYC (although that might help), it just needs to inspire those of us who are sitting at home in other parts of the world!

WE'RE IN NYC FOR PHOTOPLUS AT THE ADORAMA BOOTH #723!
That's right, a few of us are in NYC for Photoplus Expo, and this time, we're doing things a little differently!
Instead of schlepping loads of signs, decor, inventory, and people to the tradeshow, we have teamed up with one of our retail partners, Adorama Camera to have a presence at their booth! It is booth #723, and we will be there all day starting at 10:00am on Thursday and Friday.
So, you might be asking, how does that affect you?
WELL, we are going to be playing some games on TWITTER to give away lots of prizes like covers and gift cards! You only need to do TWO things to play:
If you can do those two things, you can play with us! Some of our tweets will be for people who are there at the expo (ROLL CALL--WHO'S GOING TO BE THERE???), and some will be for those playing from home.
You might want to take the opportunity to brush up on your Shootsac trivia--just a hint!
Games will begin at 10:00am EST tomorrow (Thursday), so get ready! It's about to get crazy up in here!

If you follow this blog, our FACEBOOK or our TWITTER, you may have seen that we threw a big party to have all our Shootsac friends come out and help us craft flowers to sell for Breast Cancer Research! We asked people to bring wine and scissors, so check out the mayhem that ensued!
What do you get when you ask your photographer friends to bring over a bottle of wine and a pair of scissors for CRAFT NIGHT?
You get a whole lot of FUN...
AND 75 ONE-OF-A-KIND FELT FLOWERS Embellishments!
These floral beauties are designed to dress up the new, limited edition, cozy gray wool Shootsac / Hip Slip cover which will debut later this week.
This new pairing is guaranteed to make you smile for a couple of really important reasons:
1. Our handmade felt flower pins are so ETSY cute you could just eat them!
B) Each and every one is signed by the photographer or friend who made it for you:
(and most importantly)
C: These flowers represent ALL THAT IS GREAT about photographer, Kristen Weaver's non-profit, Images for a Cure and will generate a $25 donation towards Breast Cancer Research! Here's a video of Kristen and a little Images for a Cure overview video:
Did you want to get involved with breast cancer research but weren't able to participate? That's okay! You can put your name on our mailing list and purchase one of our handmade flowers with our new cover later this week! We like to think of it as a cover with a cause :)
I am so excited to announce our move to beautiful Mission Viejo, CA. While almost everyone I know dreads the thought of how much work is involved in a big move it's exciting to start fresh in a new place.
Social butterflies that we are, we've already met some of our neighbors, and of course, we are researching one of the most important parts of any given day, which is where the best places are to eat. :)
Our team is growing as well. We've added two new members to the Shootsac Team. Jane Napolitano, (I love saying that name), who oversees our operations and Christy Ortiz who manages and coordinates our marketing.
We're so excited to share this experience with our Shootsac friends. Feel free to stop by next time you're in the area to say hello!
27001 La Paz Road, Suite 412, Mission Viejo, CA 92691
Check our newsletter coming this month to find out more about our NEW team members, but for now, here's a little team photo for you! Thanks to Becker for the photo:

In case you didn't know, and were wondering what the plethora of pink and ribbons was for, it's for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the month of October!
We at Shootsac are spending the month doing different activities to raise both awareness and money for research, and we hope that you are finding ways to get involved too!
Keats was sent the following poem, which we think is appropriate to share with all the women out there this month. Ladies, this one is for you!
One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men.....
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love. They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.
IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS ... THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Here's a little sneak peek of the gorgeous, unique flowers we'll be making to sell on the cart this month! If you can't make it to the event, consider purchasing one to add to your favorite cover or our limited edition heather grey cover that will be available with the flowers mid-month :)
