I've always been the adventurous type. Like Keats, I have a passion for traveling, seeking out new, off the beaten path places, and traveling the road less traveled. But my life is different now than it used to be--let's just say I've got a little more baggage now that I have a BABY (both literally and figuratively)! Basically, my adventures begin at 5:45am and sometimes only take me around my cul-de-sac!
So my dilemma is, what to do with my extra baggage (the literal kind)? Now that I have so many more things to carry, the temptation was there to ditch anything that isn't absolutely 100% necessary...like my professional camera gear. I mean, I don't really need that for family dinners, trips to the playground, and short family outings, right?
The other day, my mother emailed me and asked if I'd bring my camera home for Thanksgiving so I could photograph my brother. Now that I have my Tote and Shoot, instead of my answer being, "I'll think about it", I was able to tell her I wouldn't miss it! Having an EASY way to carry my gear where it won't get in the way of emergency diapers certainly made my decision easier :)
Lucky for me, I'll be able to have the beautiful photos of my family this year that I've been providing other families with for my whole career. As they would say, IT'S ABOUT TIME!!
