Little known fact: I personally read and file EVERY email that comes into the email@example.com email address and keep a stockpile of great stories and images from all of you. I LOVE reading the stories and seeing the photos, especially the super creative ones, and they completely brighten my day! I do get LOTS of them though, so sometimes they don't get posted here on this blog for a long time, like today's entry, which comes to us from LAST APRIL!!
Tonya Joy, who has a super cute website which you should totally check out, send us these absolutely adorable photos of flamingos with a shootsac! The pink flamingo is the shootsac official mascot, and we love seeing them pop up from time to time. Tonya, a belated THANK YOU for sending these awesome love story photos!

First of all, thanks so much to everyone who has made and IS making our March sale such a success! We are now COMPLETELY sold out of Lively, possibly forever, we don't know yet. We do still have a few daredevil covers left and just a couple of days left of this month's promotion so if you want that free cover, better go pick it up now!
But for today's primary order of of business, it is FRIDAY which means FREAKY FRIDAY! We love sharing one image each Friday of someone using their shootsac or cover for a purpose for which it was not intended. If you've got a great one, send it in to firstname.lastname@example.org for your chance to win a fre cover and to have your photo featured here!
Today's image comes to us from Megan Elizabeth Dupuis! Megan uses her shootsac covers as interior decor--and we love it!!
Megan, send us an email so we can send you a new cover for your collection--surely there's a chair somewhere that needs a cover!

Awhile back, Charlotte Geary sent us this awesome testimonial and photo from Aspen! We love when people send photos of them with their shootsacs in cool places! Especially when you put your logos on them and size to 850px :)
Hi Shootsac folks!
I saw Jessica's request for strange uses of Shootsacs, and I thought I'd send this photo of me hiking in Aspen. It was the day after a wedding, and I didn't want to leave all of the wedding photo files in my hotel room, just in case anything got stolen. So I made copies onto external hard drives, and carried them all day as I hiked down Aspen Mountain. The Shootsac pockets fit the hard drives quite nicely. Also I'm a weirdo.
Thanks for sending this to us Charlotte!!

Welcome to spring in Shootsacland! If you're on our mailing list, you got a little gift late Monday night--a FREE lively cover if you buy a shootsac by the end of this month! (substitute daredevil if you're a little more on the masculine side).
This month, we thought we'd share a little bit about how this month's newsletter photo was achieved using the Totally Rad Actions, in honor of their contest--**CLICK HERE** to enter your own recipe!
Here's how our image started off:
Since this image was shot RAW, we adjusted it slightly in bridge, adding a little bit of brightness and contrast. Then in Photoshop, we used:
Yin/Yang: on all parts of the photo to get it evenly exposed
Big Blue: on the sky to really bring out the gorgeous OC weather we're having lately
Green With Envy: on the grass and lively cover to really make that grass and flower area stand out
Then a little "s" curve in the Curves dialog to give it a little extra snap!
We polished it off with A Better Web Sharpen to make it really crispy and sharp, and PRESTO--email blast for March:
Our March email blast is coming to you LATE TONIGHT!! We're going to be adding a little something special to orders that come in between now and the rest of the month, but you need to be on our email list to take advantage of it!
To get on our list, scroll to the top of this blog and click "MAILING LIST" to add yourself. Here's a little sneak peek of this months' special:
And while you're at it, add your name to our BIRTHDAY LIST!! Every month we send out an email to everyone whose birthday is that month, give them a shoutout on this blog, and give them a birthday present. Personally, I love birthday presents, and if you do to, you should click above and get on that list.

I love Freaky Friday. On Fridays, we will be posting a photo of someone using a shootsac or cover in an unusual way. If you've got one, send it in to email@example.com. Make sure your photo is 850px on the long side, and you include your name and website!
Every Friday one winner will be posted here and win a free cover of their choice!
Today's Freaky Friday winner is SARA ANTHONY!! I love her patriotic homage--we pledge allegiance indeed! Thanks Sara!

Hello blog land! Well, I was going through all the posts from Vegas that all of you posted about shootsac, and came across the most amazing video from Chris & Allie Bartelski!
This awesome couple are both members of the b school, a great resource for photographers who want to learn, network, grow, and share. Through b school, Chris & Allie set up a shoot at the Neon Boneyard in Vegas.
Well, the place was literally CRAWLING with shootsacs, and Chris & Allie caught them all in their video. Which brings me to this weeks' contest.
There were 13 DIFFERENT SHOOTSAC COVERS shown in the video. Some were only shown for a matter of seconds, and some are older ones, not even available on the shootsac site anymore.
A FREE SHOOTSAC AND YOUR CHOICE OF COVERS goes to the first person who can comment with the names of all 13 covers shown. The contest ends THIS FRIDAY at noon PST, all comments will be shown then!
Watch the video:
music is by Family Force 5, available on itunes!
