I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, but Mother's Day, the one day a year where it is absolutely mandatory that you honor your mother, is fast approaching.
(and by "fast approaching", I mean that you need to start thinking about this NOW!)
In my family, my brother and I enjoy competing for who is the favorite child. I'm pretty sure that if I showed up with a Shootsac® or a Hipslip® I would win, hands down. I mean, what better way to show that you were thinking ahead than to have one of our gorgeous don't-even-need-to-wrap-it boxes delivered to her ON TIME?!
You've gotta admit, that's a little better than grabbing the last card left on the shelf the morning of May 9th while you're on your way over to brunch (don't lie--we've all done it!)
This year, we're helping you out! Check it out below, and click the pretty flowers to be the favorite kid in your family, even if only for a moment!

One of my absolute FAVORITE things is to travel. I love to see different parts of the world, and see how other people live! Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to travel nearly as much as our SHOOTSAC™ Lens Bag has.
Our friend Lindsay Weidenhammer recently took a trip all the way to ALASKA! Here's what Lindsay has to say:
My fiance Mike and I were both stationed in Ohio last year for the AIr Force. When we found he was going to be transferred to an Air Force base in North Pole, Alaska, I knew that I would have to stay in Ohio for a couple more years.
Now, even though we're separated by 4000 miles and 4 time zones, it gave me an awesome reason to visit him on my spring break last week.
North Pole, Alaska is the home of the "official" Santa Claus, and it's a town that claims to celebrate Christmas all year long. In fact, they have candy cane colored light posts everywhere! Additionally, all letters written to "Santa Claus" end up in North Pole, Alaska.
Since Alaska has beautiful scenery (and also because I feel naked without my camera), I wanted to bring some gear along for the trip. But, I didn't want to lug my heavy duty wedding gear bags around in the airport, since that would be equipment overkill. So, I stuck one camera body, a 50 mm lens and 85 mm lens in my SHOOTSAC, and boarded the plane.
While on the trip, I not only got to see the amazing landscape (photo 2), Mike and I visited the Ice Sculpting championships (photo 1), which can be found here: icealaska.com.
Lindsay, thanks for taking us on your trip with you!!

I'm not ashamed to admit it--I love pretty much anything sparkly!
Here is a list of things that I love that fall into the sparkly/glittery/shiny category:
-Headbands
-Vegas
-Sparkle donuts from Starbucks
-Jewelry (especially vintage brooches and hatpins)
-Shoes
-Nail Polish with sparkles in it
-Lancome Boule lip gloss
-Shootsac™ Lens Bag covers
Wait a second, did I just say "Shootsac™ Lens Bag covers"? You might be saying to yourself--but they don't have any sparkly covers--sadly, that is true. We are working on this. But there is someone that just couldn't wait for us to get it together, and her name is Diana Jung.
When I met her, she told me that she was going to do this, and I stared at her with my jaw hanging low thinking "WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THIS?!" Diana, I love you! Check out her work:

What's sad to me about April is that the saying, "April Showers Bring May Flowers" really says nothing about April! It make it seem like April's sole job is to make sure that May is nice and pretty, which now that I think about it, maybe isn't that bad after all.
April is selfless
April plans for the future
April makes the world more beautiful
Or maybe that's just me trying to look on the bright side (and reading FAR too much into a silly old saying!)
In any case, April Babies, we LOVE you! We hope you enjoy your little gift from us this month :)
Fun Fact: I only post each name one time. So even if 20 of you are named Melissa, I only post the name Melissa once. There were actually almost 500
of you on the birthday list this month!!
Want to get your name posted here and get a gift on your birthday? It's so easy, just sign up for our **BIRTHDAY BLAST LIST**!!
