Yes, readers, I realize that it's Saturday! That doesn't mean that Freaky Friday is cancelled this week, just that it decided to take a long weekend and head out to Vegas for the WSOP! Still, no excuse for not showing some images of a shootsac in a compromising position though, right??

Month after month, we've heard the cry of the East-coasters, "PLEASE stop blasting in the middle of the night! My husband/kids/pets hate being woken up by the sound of my frantic typing to grab the shootsac cover of the dreams"! Well, East coast, here you go--a nice, early evening blast!
However, as always, we have LIMITED availability of this month's items, so although the sale goes until June 5th, we could be out of inventory by then. So now is a good time to splurge!
This month, we grow some shootsac covers:
Supplies needed for this shoot:
1. a large planter in a bright color
2. a potted flowering tree
3. a bunch of sunflowers
4. an antique watering can
5. two paint mixing sticks
6. two shootsac covers
This shoot was so much fun and relatively easy to pull off! I shot it in the early afternoon in a garden at my neighbors' house. I wanted to shoot this earlier in the day than usual, so that I'd have a really bright, springy feeling to the photo! I shot it in RAW to pull back the detail in the white flowers, and added a bump in contrast to bring out the color.
Poof! A May Blast!

Well, I'll admit, since I've been traveling for most of May, this months' sale is a little late, but it is coming to you TONIGHT and will be extended into the first couple of days of June, so never fear! One of my favorite things, and I think I have mentioned this before, is when the little "Google Alerts" show up in my inbox to let me know that someone has blogged something cool about shootsac, or now, HIPSLIP! I found this little gem from Philip Makenzie--it is a MUST READ! Every now and then I read something that really inspires me to be better, and that's exactly what I felt when I read his blog.
A little snippet of what he said:
"...And as I stared at the lovely black and white packaging, I decided that with this new computer bag, I would mark a renewed beginning in my photography business. Up to this point, I have shot weddings and portraits, but not nearly as many as I want to and I have not been able to keep up with all my editing because of my other jobs. That all ends now. I’ve always been a believer in signs, and this one seems perfect. A new home for my beloved laptop, and a new start for my business.
So this means some promises. Both to myself and to everyone else. I promise to be the best photographer and best person I can possibly be. It's been so crazy that I didn't want to jinx it ...but it's official!
All of your Pre-Order HIP SLIP's have shipped! Matt (who you may have spoken to in our office) actually flew to Wisconsin to the "Shootsac" warehouse to oversee the whole packing and shipping process. He said it was quite an assembly line they had going there on Monday morning. Anyway -- you can officially start getting excited and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the UPS man.
I can't wait for the new HIP SLIP to be in your hot little hands!

Hello there! I'm so sorry for the lack of posts, but I promise to make up for it just as soon as I have a good internet connection and some sleep!
Just to keep you updated, Shootsac has traveled to SWEDEN and ISTANBUL, where I'm spending a few days! Me and my trusty shootsac with Nomad cover wish that we could blog more for you, but alas, there is very little internet to be had. For now, here's a little snap of me with my bag in the Istanbul market by Becker --enjoy, and have a happy weekend!

Things are a little crazy around here because as I write this, I'm simultaneously packing for a trip to SWEDEN to drop some California knowledge in Scandinavia. I am SO excited! I'm going to try to post some adventures, and of course some photos of shootsac (and myself) as I go, so don't worry, this blog will not be neglected :)
