I was laughing when I thought of this.... but remember that old saying "friends with benefits?" well, I have started thinking of the new HIP SLIP as a sleeve with BENEFITS.
We have always loved the idea of a sleek simple sleeve. I mean you're standing at the Apple store surrounded by the most sleek simple machines on the planet -- you feel so chic and modern. It's a travesty to put a MAC inside a stuffy, bloated, no style briefcase right?
Sleeves are cool - but in real life -- I end up cramming my power cord and all the other stuff I carry right on top of my laptop. One good scratch -- and that's a lesson learned the hard way. OUCH!
The new HIP SLIP -- is a legit sleeve with benefits. We took all the sleek cool stuff we loved in the sleeve concept -- and seasoned it with a lot more functionality. It has an inside pocket, two outside pockets and one hidden zipper pocket. We used thicker neoprene which does a better job of holding its shape -- so even if you stuff it -- it looks a little more "intentional". Yay!
We even added a 100% removable strap with disappearing hang-straight buckles as an extra bonus. Sometimes I need to go hands free so my sleeve needed to be a little more self-sufficient. But, I hate bags that have handles or straps and then when you don't need them and take them off you're left with remnant flippers! You can use the HIP SLIP as a sleeve or a messenger bag and it won't look like a mutant either way.
The HIP SLIP truly is a "sleeve with benefits".
Initially designed for the full line of Apple Notebooks, the HIPSLIP, will accommodate laptops from several major brands.
