I'D BE LOST WITHOUT YOU...
tue. february 2, 2010
...and I'm not just talking about my SHOOTSAC™!
I'm a LOST fanatic. I will admit that my frenzied rush to the TV has waned a bit since they started taking literally YEARS off from new episodes. In recent years, I've found myself quite lost with what's actually been going on. But now with the advent of the LAST season beginning tonight, I will be glued to my TV each and every Tuesday night, anxiously awaiting the reveal of the secrets (AND THE NUMBERS--WHAT DO THE DANG NUMBERS MEAN??)
In honor of tonight, I have to give a huge THANKS to Anna for this little story she sent in:
"Okay, I must start off by saying that I am usually not the type of person to get easily starstruck.
I was in Oahu this last weekend taking the Mike Colon workshop. While I was there I ran into Ben and into Michael from LOST. I know if you don't follow lost, this isn't a big deal. I am a huge fan and follow it religiously. The funny thin is that I ended up talking w/Ben (Michael Emerson in real life) for an hour and a half) with my shootsac on. In the picture w/Michael you can see that I'm wearing my shootsac."
Anna, THANK YOU for this!
Who's with me watching tonight?

I'M DREAMING OF A SHOOTSAC™ CHRISTMAS...
tue. december 29, 2009
Christmas has passed us and we're well on our way to New Years, and I just wanted to take a second to view some holiday cheer that was spread around!
As many of you know, the Shootsac HQ is actually in the North Pole, so we have a direct line to the big guy in the red suit. We received so many wishes for our bags that we couldn't help but oblige, and I thought it might be fun to share a couple with you!
First of all, can we just say that Tira J sure can decorate a tree?! This is so amazing!!
That Wife aka Jenna, gave one to her sister, who certainly seems happy:
Elisabeth Carol shows us that everyone loves a SHOOTSAC™: Elisabeth, thank you for showing the world that ANYONE can be stylish with a Shootsac!
That's it for now! We're just a couple days away from a New Year and we can't wait to feature more and more of you soon!!

SHOESAC?
fri. november 13, 2009
Every now and then we'll run across a photo of someone using a shootsc for a purpose for which it was not intended. Today's usage comes from a girl after our own hearts here at Shootsac named Cristi Owen. Cristi found something other than lenses to carry in her bag, thus it's new favorite nickname, the Shoesac!
Thanks Cristi!!

I GET KNOCKED DOWN, BUT I GET UP AGAIN
wed. november 4, 2009
That's the story that Jessica Lorren told us the other day! She was shooting an engagement session in a hilly, rocky area when she went tumbling down with all her gear in her shootsac. She said, "That was a scary fall with all my gear, my clients went white as ghosts! But it was all safe and sound."
Jessica, we're sorry you fell, but we are sure glad that your lenses were protected! We will work on some custom neoprene bodysuits for you so that if this ever happens again, you will be protected too!
Here's a shot Jessica Lorren sent us of her with her shootsac, post-fall:
And look at the beautiful shots she got of her clients, even with a bit of a rocky start!
Thanks again Jessica!

FILET MIGNON IS DELICIOUS. PINTO BEANS ARE VILE.
thu. october 29, 2009
The other day, I came across a endearing blog post by Cindy Dianne called Filet Mignon on a Pinto Bean Budget....
Not only is this a genius title for a blog post, but I thoroughly enjoyed her lament on the things she'd like to own and the disconnect between that and her actual budget. Among the things she would like to have are a shootsac and a throng of many covers (pun intended), a Kindle, and this absolutely adorable bicycle:
Cindy, we just want you to know that as Filet Mignon lovers ourselves at shootsac, we feel your pain! I think that this year, everyone has felt the budget crunch a little bit more, which, thankfully, we seem to be starting to come out of. We hope that this year someone who loves you takes advantage of the sales we have coming up in the next month, and bestows upon you a beautiful little medium rare Shootsac!

OOH LA LA--SHOOTSAC GOES TO PARIS!
fri. september 25, 2009
I was just checking out my good friend Victor Sizemore's blog this morning, since I knew that he and my other friend, Jay Reilly were teaching in Paris this week! I was certainly surprised and excited to see that some Shootsacs made the trek and were alive and working hard in Paris!
These photos were shot by Victor:
Have you taken your shootsac somewhere interesting? I want to see! Send photos of your bag traveling the world to flamingo@shootsac.com so I can have the opportunity to feature you here on this blog!

OVERHEARD ON FACEBOOK
thu. july 9, 2009
Every now and then I'll be on Facebook and someone will tag a shootsac in a photo, which is such a nice little surprise to wake up to!
This week, I got these two photos, and I just adore them!
This one is from Erin Hession--did you know shootsac covers are great for detail shots?
Kenny Kim shot this photo of unparallelled goodness, which i call, Three Baroques and a Fling :) :
Post photos of you and your bag on Facebook and tag Jessica Claire or Shootsac in the photo and you may wake up and find yourself here one day!!

SHOOTSAC GOES GLOBAL!
tue. june 23, 2009
The number one complaint we get regarding our monthly SALE blasts is from our INTERNATIONAL customers. They are sad that we don't ship from our website internationally so they are unable to participate in the sales.
THIS MONTH IS DIFFERENT!!
Our partner, Adorama has decided to take inventory of our sale for the month of JUNE!! What does this mean?
1. if you live outside of the US, you should go to Adorama to get your bag/cover this month. they will ship to you wherever you are
2. when you get the email blast, you will be able to click for "international" shipping and be taken right to the place you need to be on the shopping cart
3. you can now show off your shootsac all over the world! Are you living somewhere other than the US? If you participate in this month's promotion, PLEASE let me know and send in photos to flamingo@shootsac.com!
My good friend Beth, while on business in South America, sent us this awesome photo! There's two special things about it: 1. Beth is a new photographer who is using her bag for the first time. She is also one of my bridesmaids :) 2. She is standing in Ecuador on BOTH sides of the equator at the same time! Now, how many people can say that. Check her out:
Shootsac (and Beth) loves animals!
P.S. The sale is coming right around 7:15am PST on Thursday morning and we fully expect to sell out, so you'll need to buy fast!!!

JVS IS SO FLIPPIN' COOL!
mon. june 15, 2009
I was just sitting here surfing some of my favorite blogs this morning when I spent some time going back through my good friend JVS's blog, which you can see **HERE**. I saw his posts from some of his past workshops, and spied SHOOTSAC in a lot of them! Can you find the shootsacs in these photos?
This one is very sneaky:
